No recruit is leaving Louisiana for Oklahoma. Riley is attractive as the coach for LSU. He can compete with Saban and Jimbo at LSU. At Oklahoma? Clown world.

IF LR is actually serious about winning national titles, the pitch is simple...
now that you are in the SEC and have to go through bama, GA, LSU, FL, etc every year -- do you want to try and beat those teams with Oklahoma players or LA's?

This line is played out honestly.
People in that tax bracket with jobs like HC at a major football program simply do not live the same way the unwashed masses do regardless of zipcode.
Whether Norman, Baton Rouge, Athens, Tuscaloosa, or Gainesville, these coaches all live a life none of us can comprehend, that's just what earning $7M+ per year affords you.
So is Baton Rouge a shithole? Many parts certainly are, but let's not act like that has any bearing on the day-to-day life experience of the LSU football HC and his family.

Yeah I always laugh at people that claim certain cities are crappy.
When you have money, every city you live in is nice, because you never see the crappy parts. You live in your own little bubble of house/restaurants/etc. And all major and even minor cities have crappy parts.
Unless there’s a real beach and ocean in the city,, every city is basically the same for upper-middle-class to upper class.
