So in short, LSU is a better job and Riley wants to impress recruits by claiming LSU tried hiring him.
Hope he impresses some defensive players with his new found notoriety. I’d rather Jimbo then Riley for that kind of money.

I could've bought the whole thing reported until the part about thinking by his being courted by LSU, it'll gain him inside track to raid the state......

Even Bama has trouble consistently out-recruiting LSU in Louisiana. They'll pull gems every now and then, but taking the majority of the top talent every year hasn't even happened while with Bama. To think they would be any different with fewer achievements than them is some pretty damn funny stuff.

Yeah it really speaks to where your program truly is if the best thing your coach can claim in recruiting is that “hey another rival school tried to hire me this one time”

Callin bullshite on that. If "OU and Reily already has a new deal and have for some time", why can he just come out and say that? Hes got a new deal with his current employer and has to be secretive about it so he can get a better deal from his employer? bullshite. They scared of losing Reily

I tore out of dumpster Baton Rouge like a bat out of hell a few years after Katrina and the tremendous wave of violent crimes, but gee wiz from 7 M a year to 12.5 M a year LOL is there a stupid arse idiot anywhere that wouldn't haul arse to Baton Rouge?

Riley is using this attention (uncertainty) related to his job for recruiting advantages? I don’t know if Riley legitimately has interest in the LSU job or not, but that has to be about the dumbest explanation why he’s “entertaining” any interest.
