Come on, this is not grounds to keep him as head coach. It is not the same playing field that Coach Miles had to deal with the last few years. Ole Miss is down and Arkansas is down. Florida is descent, but LSU gets them at home instead of the Swamp and Texas A&M has no QB and a coach on the hot seat. Sorry, LSU should have won every game but Bama with or without Coach O. Give the head job to any other guy on that staff outside of BDP and you get the same results.

It's unfortunate for O that the SEC fell this way this year because the only game he could really prove anything was the Bama game and he failed. Losing shouldn't be an automatic disqualifier but scoring zero points is. It's time to get this football powerhouse in the hands of a competent coach and start winning championships again.

And held Bama to 10. Had we had any offense in that game it could have gone differently.

Aranda did this and O said the defense didn't execute after the game.

Hard to execute when 3 offensive linemen are holding, but i digress.

Beat UF and aTm and that stat will look much better.

Lmao. You kids are so stupid, and you don't even realize it. LSU has beat the shite out of everyone they have played under O and played bama toe to toe for 3 1/2 quarters. Thank god you are a kid and not in a key position in life yet. Your logic is pathetic.

So how many teams are out there that are better than Bama or close to being as good as them? Who do you want us to beat that will make you satisfied? Orgeron was given an lsu team with an offense that was already installed! WTF did alleva expect a defensive line coach to do with an offense mid year? Orgeron is doing a great job with the hand he was dealt so give him a fricking break!

I'm not in favor or rewarding O with the job for beating who he has beaten, but I have to be fair to him. Arkansas went 7-6 and had two SEC wins in 2014 when they shut out LSU 17-0 at Arkansas. That was not a good Arkansas team. In 2013, we needed a 99-yard miracle drive from Anthony Jennings in the closing minutes to beat a winless-in-the-SEC team in Tiger Stadium and we were extremely talented that year. We got crushed in Tiger Stadium last year too by an 8-win team. Orgeron just beat Arkansas by more points than Les Miles ever beat them during his time at LSU. Coming off the tough Bama loss, I do have to credit him for having this team prepared and fired up.

Also, Les Miles never beat Ole Miss by more than one score in Tiger Stadium and had to squeak by them in the closing minutes every single time his teams played them in Tiger Stadium. And some of those Ole Miss teams were bad teams with losing records. You can only beat who they put in front of you and I have to be fair to coach O in saying that LSU has looked way better against both of those teams than they looked against them with Miles.

if it will make you feel better, we beat you when les was there and we were 100% healthy.....lsu wins by 2-3 touchdays if the game was played now...malzahn actually makes les look like larry fedora now

Most of us are adults and all agree O shouldn't get the job.

FIFY.
Don't kid yourself why he is the coordinator and O is the DLine coach. Why the shite is our dline better than when he was coaching them? Look at who is coaching that line now? GOAT Pete Jenkins - who will only do this for the next few games.

Both of you commenting on my post stress Aranda was the key to holding Bama.

I am the biggest Aranda fan here.
He is the key to this teams success and the most valuable coach we have right now.
I wouldn't trade him for anyone.
I'm all Aranda!

You can't get people to listen, Les Miles would have lost to these teams, but again, people just don't see it. Now they are saying these are weak teams even after all of them were ranked at some point this season...

Who gives a shite what les would've done? What does that matter?

We fired les...so we shouldn't be using him as a benchmark.

What's your logic?

He beats bad teams with a good team.

He doing what Les would have done.

ON the contrary. He is not just beating these teams (didn't we lose to Arkansas the last two years and struggle against Ole Miss), he is beating the crap out of those teams. When has Miles EVER done that?

If you can't see the change in this team in all then you don't know football. This team is vastly improved in ALL FACETS of the game. Defense - improved, special teams - improved, Offense - VASTLY IMPROVED! All done in a very short amount of time! The season isn't over yet and Coach O and HIS TEAM still have two more huge tests in front of them, so the score card isn't out yet, but things are looking good!

I would put this tiger team up against any team in the nation right now, including Bama on a level playing field, and feel we would have a real and legitimate shot of beating them.
