They should absolutely. Winning a national championship is the only meaningful measure of an elite coach. It’s all you really need to look at when evaluating a coach really. Has the guy won a natty.
Orgeron deserves another chance. I hope someone in the sec will do the right thing. He just fits in so well in the south and that critical as well

I don’t think he’s really comfortable leaving Louisiana. Unless you count quick trips to Florida beaches to take selfies.

Kelly will be here another 10 years or longer. He’s already been more successful than many thought he would and he’s only in year 2 of complete rebuild.
Someone else will be the beneficiary of that national championship winning coach. Maybe Missouri can hire him when Drink leaves for a better job?

I don’t think Orgeron wants it.
LSU was his dream job and he won them a Natty and after that seemed to check out. Basically he accomplished his life goal now just wants to enjoy his money and chase poon

Larry Coker is another great candidate since winning a natty is the most important indicator of a coach’s ability.

Outside of Saban, LSU has been a career killer for head football coaches. Even when they have had success.
