Might prefer Urban because he had some "moderate" success in college - do you think that might affect people's preferences? We aren't hiring a pro coach, we are looking for who can be a successful coach at LSU

It's like they just conveniently forget the man won multiple national championships at two different schools. I shouldn't be surprised. Same mentality got O hired. SW's past hires say otherwise though, thank God.

Urban isn’t “squeaky clean” like the lsu officials want

The same dudes who don't want Mel Tucker because of his HC record at Jacksonville are the same dudes who want Urban Meyer despite his record at Jacksonville.

Should tell you all you need to know.

How did Saban do at Miami?

For the record I want neither of those guys

Point, guess you would put access to coed's at the bar in his contract.

Sorry, he will not be considered with the heightened awareness and investigations.

People keep saying Fickell won't leave Ohio, but why? Ryan Day is still young and I don't see him leaving Ohio State anytime soon. Doesn't make sense for him to stay there waiting on a job that'll likely never be available.

If we learned anything from Les and Ed, it's that pretty much anyone can be successful at LSU.

Yes, that's my point? I'm not advocating for Mel Tucker, I even clearly left him off my list of preferred candidates. But I think it's just silly when we point to his failures at Jacksonville as justification. It's fricking Jacksonville.

Outdated. I want a coach who will WIN championships. Not has won. Not a has-been who will claim family or heart issues the minute things don't go his way.

Give me a young coach, who's hungry and has something to prove. Much rather that all day over someone who's just waiting on a retirement date.

Why this UM love?

Look. Dude has a great history...........kind of.

He also has a history of being a complete fricking flake which is starting to be recognized as his core persona.

Like anyone would give a damn after we started off 8-0 in 2022

First, there would be people who had a problem with it if he started 8-0.

Secondly, there would be even more people who had a problem with it if he started losing games

Thirdly, Urban is who he is. His behavior is not going to change or stop. His latest screw up will not be his last. These distractions will keep coming…and LSU does not need any off field issues right now. Especially any issues surrounding or even associated with the topic of Title IX or the mistreatment of women.

Perception is reality.

Lol, for real. Ohio state had less talent than lsu when urban took over and he went 12-0 in his first year but wasn't bowl eligible due to sanctions.

I have a better chance of becoming LSU's head football coach than Corch Irving Meyers.
