He is flat out the greatest college football coach of all time. He has zero left to prove.
That he can compete in pros?
He is the homerun champ of double A ball

frick NICK SABAN and his CROOKED program.

He could take a real shetty team like Vanderbilt and see how that goes, that would be a real challenge. He dont need the money, take a reasonable salary, show us how great he really is.

Does this mean that Eddie Robinson wasn’t a great coach since he only won black college football championships and not a division 1 or division 2 championship and never won a super bowl much less coached in the NFL
He was a great college coach for a HBUC and one of the best in college football but to be considered one of the all time great football coaches you have to had success and win championships in both college and the NFL.

I doubt it.
Let's see if Nick can win on an even playing field, where you can't just out-spend other teams on facilities, coaching, staff, scouting. Let's see if Nick can win enough games without scheduling 3-4 rent a wins like he does now. Let's see Nick deal with players who make more money than he does. Let's see Nick deal with grown men and coach a team of grown men where all the rules are to promote parity and on any given Sunday any team can beat another team.
Nick has so many advantages in college that he can never have in the more equal playing field of the NFL. It's about your coaching more in the NFL than it is in college.

Just stop. He’s the GOAT. No one even comes close. No one even comes close to coming close.
And he’s responsible for making LSU a blue blood program

He did that with LSU

Saban will either retire from Bama or coach himself into the grave there. He isn't leaving for another job.
Yep.
I had thought for a while his "failure" in the NFL was too much for his ego and he'd go back someday, but I think he has made peace with it.

Saban is shooting for Bear Bryant and to go down as the greatest CFB coach of all-time. He doesn't need Texas

Nick Saban just went undefeated playing only SEC teams who spend on facilities like Alabama does.

I know for a fact that he was heavily pursued by Jacksonville back when they hired Mularkey. I think that was his last NO to the NFL. He’s past the age that he would want to take an NFL job. I don’t think he cares about that anymore

You do that when you're fifty, not when you're on the cusp of seventy years old.
he coulda done it at 60 but at 70 he is going nowhere

Saban is Bama’s Joe Paterno

He has nothing left to prove, no more milestones left to conquer. Like someone said he already did it with 2 programs, LSU and UA.
He’s cemented his spot as the greatest college football coach ever.
My guess is he coaches as long as he is physically capable. Unless he gets board with it, which I don’t see happening.

Just asking a question here. So, by the above criteria, Bill Belichick is not one of the best coaches of all time?

HC Texas
Nope.... He bailed in the final hour
Truth will come out in his biography how this went down after he retires.

Saban does a lot of things well. He is a very good coach. But the main things that separate him from the rest are his abilities to build organizational advantages by raising more money than anyone else. He spends more on analysts and players than anyone else. He can't do that in the pros.
