One of the added bonuses of this search is the number of programs who have over committed

And over extended to mediocre or unproven coaches based on a very short sample size. Some of these guys may indeed be great, but they’re not super contract great yet.

He’s 34-13 and missed the playoff by one spot. I’d say the results are about where they should be at this point. He could win 10 this year, finish in the top ten all with his back up qb.
