Greg McDermott - Creighton (He was a finalist last time Ohio State HC was open)

Just saw an article on BetMGM that suggested he is the odds-on favorite to get the gig. Not sure what they base that on, though, other than he was in serious contention before.

I also don't see Drew leaving Baylor unless it's for a blue blood (and even that is questionable).

You will have OSU fans argue that OSU is a blueblood in CBB. I don't agree with them but they will make a somewhat good argument with the # of FFs etc.

So I think OSU is probably one of the top 15 jobs but not a top 5 job based on overall history, and more a top 25 job based on more recent history

Sean Miller or Greg Marshall if you don’t care about the baggage that comes with them. A+ hires

In no world is OSU bball even remotely close to anything resembling a blue blood. They have one Natty (64 years ago)… only 2 Final Fours + 3 Elite Eights this century. Butler has that many Final Fours this century and all both schools have done lately is swap head coaches (oh hey, Thad Matta and Holtman…).

They’re a top 25 job, I’ll give you that. But anything more or anything approaching “elite” territory is nonsense.
