Listen Pussy, I'm pointing out that any coach can have a lapse in their season.

A&M is another problem in our division and hey look like a far more serious program than LSU.

Yeah at least Jimbo can balance recruiting a roster and have his squad fricking loaded on defense. This isn't good for LSU at all. He's def a much better coach than drunk arse sumlin on the sidelines.

Why, Miles was here for 10 years on shorter contracts that were renegotiated and renewed etc. What's the difference? Turns out all the talk about the big Jimbo buyout was bs. All that has to be bought out was the assistants. Least that is what I read.

This is such a dishonest argument you're putting forth.

Since the hire was made, O is 9-3 and Jimbo is 5-6

Those are the only relevant numbers anymore. We will continue to track them for the future.

So when a company fires it's CEO and hires a new one, you're fine investing without seeing prior year financials?

I know you have some interesting takes and such, but this has to be one of the worst ones I've seen in a while. Track records actually count for something.

I’ll praise Jimbo as a recruiter and for running an offense / developing a QB.

I’ll wait on his DC hire before talking up his defense considering his team’s D has shite the bed recently.

It is a great hire on the surface but if A&M continues to miss the 10 win mark then they're paying 7.5 million a year for results than aren't much better than Sumlin delivered.

They got the best guy that was realistically available. They grabbed their nuts and went all in and succeeded.

Lets flip this around. Lets say we get Fisher last year and A&M hired Ed Orgeron as their coach this year after they fire Sumlin. We would be laughing our collective asses at the hire and blasting them nonstop going "Yall are never gonna beat us lollllzzzzzz".

But yea they just hired a coach that is light years better than ours and LSU fans cant admit it

What? All that matters to see who the better hire was is what happens going forward.

Lets say both coaches retire in 2025

Lets say from 2017-2025 Coach 0 has a 70% win pct

Lets say from 2017-2025 Jimbo has a 50% win pct

You are arguing you would still say jimbo would have been the better hire. It is completely illogical

Agreed, aTm got their man. But if Fisher thinks he has an easier path to a championships in the SEC West he has rocks in his head. He out recruited nearly everyone in the nation while at FSU. aTm may just learn concrete and steel with pretty paint doesn't win games.

Absolutely not.

But once I make the hire, I only care about what he does for me and my company

It's a home run hire. They literally got the best possible coach they could have hired (on paper.)

People keep bringing up the contract, but it's not like there's a salary cap. Whether they are paying him 100 million dollars a year or 8 bucks an hour really makes no difference to the team or the fans. A&M has plenty of money.

To be fair if O puts up 9 and 10 win seasons the next five years and A&M continues 7-5 to 9-3 type seasons then does Jimbo's time prior to 2017 matter? Aggies would be getting a way worse ROI
