You need a very confident coach to make snap decisions and adjustments. Find a DC who has experience. There are some out there. Are there any on the staff?

Acutaly if my memory serves me correctly, Phil Bennett did a good job as a DC at LSU. We had good defenses with not that much talent. Imagine if he had today's talent. Something to think about. I think we look at him as the head coach at SMU and disregard him, but he was a good DC.

I'm really excited about the possibility of Tenuta. If not, Muschamp would be a decent consolation prize.

Lots of funny stuff here. Once again, LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY and the SOUTHEASTERN CONFERENCE are not places for ON THE JOB TRAINING! NO demonstrated and successful experience as a DEFENSIVE COORDINATOR, then you AINT gonna be employed. It's amazing to me how some of you dolts actually think that some of the names being thrown around out there are really qualified candidates. The days of L.S.U. having to settle for an unproven coach are long gone....

I think Kieth Menard from Sacred Heart Ville Platte is a good pick for d coordinator. He runs the best 4-4-3 I've ever seen.

I saw that. Good hire for ole miss. with nutt they will be competitive. what about dwayne walker? not much said about him but he coached with miles at okie state and you have to figure mccarthy will put in a good word for him.

I asked around a little bit this morning, and all I got was Miles has talked to Tenuta...

Only name I could get...I already knew he had talked to him, but it was verified I guess.

Miles was a little coy when asked about him too. The dept really seems to be quiet about this and I find it odd that a new DC would not be a priority with the number of new coaches having needs at the position. Spurrier apparently has jumped on a great one and I can only hope that Tenuta is in the bag but does not want it announced until after the GA Tech bowl game. Not really sure why that would matter though since he won't be head coach.
