Obviously not. Interviewing with Georgia

He is being interviewed for DC at UGA. I don’t think throwing money at him will fix this problem. If he gets the offer he will probably take it

So they are interviewing a guy who has never been a coordinator to be a coordinator at a place like Georgia?

I hope Raymond knows that will just be a title and you wont actually be calling the defense.

He's being interviewed for DB coach, not DC

It is still a upward move for his career if he gets offered

Now wait just a minute! I read on this board that both Raymond and Aranda were gone, Raymond to Georgia, and Aranda to Tuscaloosa.

Now what?

. How is going from a DB coach LSU and taking the same position at LSU a step up?

Working for O is better than Kirby.

Has there been talk of co-dc’s? Or Kirby having a bigger hand in the defense on game day? I could see him taking the job for the DC title and an obvious raise.

How is a lateral move (he's not going as DC) a step up?

Regardless, color me as unconcerned. If he is not counter offered by LSU then there's a reason.
If he is given a comparable offer and leaves, that's his choice then there's a reason other than money so stop posting "pay the man".
Regardless, all of this talk is meaningless until he stays or goes.

Just read Guilbeau's article on the subject and I did not realize that Mel Tucker was the Secondary coach but was listed as the DC. Kirby was the defacto DC. However, Tucker made $1.5 mil. There is a lot of room between $415K and $1.5 Mil with a DC tag of some sort.

Also I did not realize that Raymond used to work for Busch at Utah State back before he came to LSU.
