If Freeman says no.. It’s Richard over Odom.
Not sure if he changed his mind about recruiting.
You’ll need to get somebody to coach linebackers. Assuming Richard coaches safeties.

They have been breaking all of the coaching news.
Freeman, Peetz, Mangas interviews and now Richard.
I believe they also broke the Marshall and Gilbert opt outs.

Wont be Richard due to his running a zone cover scheme. LSU is DBU. We get the best CB's and play man coverage. Stingley and Elias arent at LSU to play a zone defense.

I’ll tell you what he didn’t do- he didn’t field the 110th ranked D in the country last year, he didn’t give up 48.5ppg in his last 4 games. He’s not another retread!

If what you say has any semblance of validity, and we hire that clown, Orgeron deserves to be run out of town.
Richard is an arrogant assclown that thinks he is too good to be bothered with things like recruiting.
This guy will be an even worse disaster than Pelini was. What the hell is Orgeron trying to do, run the program into the ground and get himself fired??
Part of me wonders if he is going to try to get himself fired purposely, maybe in an attempt to avoid any fallout from the investigations going on. If we hire Richard, O will be gone by the end of next season, as this will be a disaster of epic proportions.
Richard is not an answer for anything, he just raises even more questions about who the real dumbass is steering this ship.

I’m not thrilled with the hire, and then I don’t hate it. Especially if you can perhaps Co-DC this hire with a linebacker coach. I’ve heard worse options.
Completely handing him the reigns of the defense is not my first choice.

I’m a man guy myself, but how’d that work out for us this year? Leach said he knew he could beat us by just running mesh routes and we wouldn’t adjust and get out of man. The next week Odom(who I think is terrible) simply ran zone against them and held them to 14pts!
