Not this guy. I'm positively giddy about the prospects of him leaving.

It's not schizophrenic, it's bi-polar.

Because you tend to think that every coach in America will be beating our door down to come here. Well, I got news for you, they won't.

I am no Les fan, but understand the reasoning for keeping him here (to maintain continuity and this recruiting class). At the same time, I am interested to see if it was LSU more than Les or vice versa.
If LSU improves under his replacement (should he leave) in that they win more than 1 SEC title in 6 years, than these same people will start forgetting Les.
Most love him all of a sudden because of the unknown as much as anything. Les is a good coach though, so it's not irrational.

Whoever we get we will be happy with. If Les leaves today he leaves a program in about the same shape as he found it. The next coach will have tons of young talent and they all know this. We're going to be fine either way.

We're still a bad hire away from being Texas aTm though. I don't want that.

I agree 1 million percent.
I said months ago I thought Miles would leave for Michigan if given the chance again.
I thought it would be after next season though.
But I remember a lot of people especially BEFORE the Alabama game who were more than happy to help Miles pack.
Guess Miles will get the last laugh...
But seriously no one should be that surprised. We knew from day one that Michigan was his dream job and surely he knows by now that LSU fans will never ever fully except him unless he goes on a reign of terror and wins another crystal football or two and totally pwns Saban year in and year out. He knows that ain't gonna happen so he's getting out of Dodge.

there is a difference between second guessing a coach and wanting him gone. i've complained about some things miles has done yet i want him to stay. despite what many fans think... there is no perfect coach.

I'm definitely scared of the unknown.. but there is absolutely some curiosity lurking

I'm kind of tired of the "poor les" crowd. I hope he stays, because we are in an awesome position and he has to be credited. But if you think for a second that if the next coach makes the same dumbass mistakes on gameday and not get railed you're crazy. Also, if he does that shite in Michigan they won't bitch about him or talk about firing him. Those fans will eat him alive. I don't love Les, but I can see that he can keep us at the level of excellence I expect, but so can someone else. 4yrs from now we will have a coach, Les may or may not have a job.

I don't hate Les. I just don't think he is a great coach. . .good, not great.
He is a great recruiter, and a great person.
That said, I don't think Pelini makes it more than above average in either of those above factors.
This.

No offense but Les hasn't even won his division in the conference in 3 years and you call that excellence?
Les is a good coach and has done very well at LSU, but to call it excellence is fricking hilarious.
