I think Les is a good coach, but all coaches have faults. Les is 14-10 in his last 3 years in the SEC. He has no West Titles in 3 years. He still has some work to do, but things look good for next year with some offensive consistency.

I've been a fan of Les Miles all along. My opinion of him has never changed. No "all of a sudden" about it.

You do NOT know that. Most changes and extensions already took place. This is a very bad time to lose a coach, and our options will be limited.
Coaches stay where they are for various reasons. Their families also play a role in where they go or don't go.
You assume we will be fine either way. Look around at other programs that seemed to be fine and have fallen. You think we are invincible to that? Ever heard of the 1990's?

1. Crowton gone
2. A proven OC, who can develop QBs, as his replacement.

Relax. I lived the 90's. I had to deal with a southern miss hire when I was in college. LSU was not even a top 25 program then. Now we are a top 5. There is a big difference. Just look at where we steal our coaches from Southern Miss, Vandy, Michigan st., Oklahoma St. The next steal will be from the best program yet. We are in a completely different position now.

During Saban's tenure, he's the only HC with a NC. During Miles, 4 (possibly 5) of 6 years the NC was from the SEC.....and he still was able to have 4 11 win seasons. Every coach has a down year or 2. Ask Mack Brown this year. Or Saban finishing 4th in the SECW.
No offense but Les hasn't even won his division in the conference in 3 years and you call that excellence?

Les is a good coach-he is not elite. LSU can do better for 4 mil a year.

uh, they wouldnt have these had Miles beat them, right?
Miles is averaging almost 4 losses per yr, over the last three years. He brought us Malveto, McCarthy, and Crowton.
LSU got better when Saban left, I think it will again when Miles leaves

I don't love him. There just aren't many options right now if he did choose to leave.

What planet do you live on? Mullen turned Miami down because he wanted Florida. Florida got exactly who they wanted. Mullen was dying to get back to Gainsville. wow
