We hired stinking Les Miles and won a NC. If he can win here it don't take much of a coach to do the same. The money Jimbo is asking for will handcuff us for a long time. If you people think he's worth Saban or Harbough money you're delusional. Quit wetting the bed with worry over who LSU hires. Everything is gonna be ok!!!

I would back Jimbo if he was hired. Not against it but I don't think he is that great of a coach. Just my opinion. But yes he is light years ahead of Les. So I would be good with him being our coach.

I can agree here, he def isnt up there with Saban Meyer and Harbough, but you could say hes in the top 10... Miles wasnt in the top 30.. LSU made Miles, others will learn this when he takes his next coaching job..

This is damn right no matter what anyone thinks and I have wanted Miles gone for years. But if the end product is Coach O, you really must be joking. If you think Les Miles was hard to get rid of, it will be twice as hard to get rid of Coach O with his media buddies and good ole boy network. The dude has spent more time politicking than coaching.

Honestly, if LSU makes this hire, then this program is not worth supporting. The only school in this nation that would be in the position to get a top flight coach not once, but twice and frick it up not once but twice is LSU. If that piece of shite Joe Alleva makes this move he is done for. The only interest I will have in LSU is the satisfaction I will get the day that man is fired, which won't be long making dumbass hires like Johnny Jones and Coach O. Other then that, if LSU does this then the LSU football program is dead to me. I watched them blow the potential to be a perennial powerhouse for years in order to keep that clown Les Miles. I waited it out, knowing the day that idiot was gone, LSU would be in line to make a great coaching hire. And you mean to tell me you're going to pay Les Miles 9 million not to coach all so you can promote your D-line coach. frick off, LSU if this happens. And yes, this is a melt because the very thought that this is not only a possibility but likely has me in full on melt and the fan base should be as well. But they're not because a lot of jackasses are going to get what they want. A guy from Louisiana who loves LSU, talks Cajun and doesn't have a clue how to run a major college football program successfully.

Amen Brotha..

But I dont think Oregeron is even close to getting hired, You have to say that he is in the mix because he is winning, no one with a real brain is even considering him as the head coach.. Why do you think he is working so hard to get it.. He even knows he has very little of a chance... Dont Fret, it will be Jimbo, Fedora or Gundy. Id be happy with any of those three.. Aranda is the key to all this.. And the only thing that I would worry about with him is if he were to leave for the NFL, not for another college.. He runs multiple front Defenses, thats what the NFL covets.. Pay him 2 Million/ 6 Years (the most in the country) and put in a huge buyout plus incentives.. our rate of return will be fantastic..

Not true. Miles needed to go asap regardless of who the coach is. He was a cancer on the program.

Get Coach O fill the stables and kick arse.

Yeah. His stables from Ole miss could have been used in a Sarah McLachlan ASPCA commercial after his stellar record there.

Logical fallacies of the anti O people.

1. O failed at Ole Miss, therefore he will fail at LSU since his record indicates his ability.
2. O succeed this year at LSU, but he will fail next year because his record does not indicate his coaching ability.

Logical fallacies of KyrieElaison:

Being a 5-game interim HC of a school loaded with talent is a better indicator of ability than being a HC for 3 years.

What's the latest you have been hearing? I saw you said you felt the Coach O group may have overstepped. What you mean by that?

the ceiling if we hire O is 9 wins

Not true. If he were to retain the current staff and possibly hire a top OC, winning 10+ games next season and being competitive in the losses isn't out of reach.

That being said, as with any coach he will only be good as the staff around him and I question how long he can keep them all together.

We will lose a good bit from the roster come January and now is a great time to go after Jimbo and Herman and make the smart money hire.

Youre an idiot. Lets pay cheap for a coach instead of handsomely for a proven coach. Dumb

Based on what? Hes great success he had at ole miss?

Let's be honest, no one since John Vaught and maybe Tuberville has any sustained success at Ole Miss. Look at Freeze ....when he can't pay....he has problems
