That was ALWAYS the most likely thing.

We would have Lane for two years and then we'd be dealing with him getting NFL offers. It is what it is.

I just plan on talking about how we didn’t really want him anyway.

If we miss on Kiffin, I hope they do the right thing and get Golesh.

No reason to melt if he stays.

A lot of HCs with a similar resume', and top notch Coordinators a plenty

This is like when you frick a chick on a cruise that you’ll never see again. Yesterday was amazing and the thoughts of what could have been…but now we are back to reality

I think it would so Lane if he says, "I'm not going to LSU or UF" but leaves for NYG after the season. NFL teams don't make decisions in November.

Yes Golesh or Dillingham. Two excellent fits for the job if we can't land Kiffin. Please no Drinkwitz.

If he were getting NFL offers then presumably that would be because he was very successful at LSU. Isn't that kind of the goal? Successful people are in demand. That demand is the price of success. If LSU (and the fans) wanted a guy who neither the NFL, nor other schools wanted to poach, they could have just kept Brian Kelly.
