Next Sunday, the Saban to Texas rumors

Late again.
They started up after Texas lost to Notre Dame.
Now the rumor is that Texas is going to work a deal with The U whereby they'll pay part of Strong's buyout, freeing them up for the Saban Sweepstakes once again.

Perrin is giving Strong all the support he needs to keep his job for another year. Ordinarily that would't mean much given the egos on a few of those big $ boosters but he's as close to "universally liked" as you'll find on the 40 Acres.

I play golf with a dude in the athletic department.
I also work for a firm that does all of Texas' contracts.
I encourage you, and everyone else, to return here at 2:32am MST as I make vague predictions about Saban going to Texas.

I would hope no one gets caught up in any Saban rumors. He won't leave.

Well with no Strong firing it appears that he is staying put uness.... UT is waiting till Bama is out of the playoffs to can Strong and hire Saban immediately so nothing can muck it up. Herman is waiting in the wings just in case Saban does not jump. Dabo was lobbying to take over for Saban recently.
