I've also heard Bob Stoops name mentioned.

I too have heard Stoops, from someone who claims to have "insider information." It could be total b.s., but that's the word.

Tech has more active defensive players, with a bunch of 2 or 3 star recruits. So my point stands. He was coaching up similarly talented players better at GT than he has at ND.

I think that the point is that the star system is tragically flawed.

I think it will most likely be whoever they offer. I think they will put an offer on the table that almost no CFB coach can refuse.

If it is turned down it won't be more than once or twice IMO.

There is not a football program that can compete with ND as far as what they can offer. I would assume the first choice will be Meyer and the second will be Saban. They have been surrounded by the most hype the past two years.

Saban is not going to PS. Hates the cold and will finish at Bama. Urban or "" Harbaugh"" if RR is not fired and he hired. Brian Kelly can coach, but is a flaming a-hole not liked by many.

My friend told me I was insane Saturday, but this is my prediction:

If Tebow/Meyer pull off #3 in 4 years, Meyer becomes the new HC of ND.

Florida will take a step back next year, regardless and Tennessee wins the SEC East next year (if they can stay out of jail that is).

If Meyer goes to ND, he's got at least 3 years to make things happen, and if he can convince Claussen to stay ...

No its not. Whichever class Xavier Carter was in, he was the only 5 star recruit that didn't get drafted. Thats a pretty good record, IMO.

why is this so outlandish?? FLA has a good chance at winning number 3. FLA is going to take a step back either way. And ND is Meyers dream job. sooooo.....

but what is this? ....

before he gets fired. ok. BOLD PREDICTION OF THE YEAR. Meyer has three years to make things work at ND or he's out.

I would think that Chris Peterson would get a call. Anybody heard his name come up?

If Urban stays at UF, he could become one of the greatest coaches of all time. He has the train rolling like few ever have so why get off and make a change like that?

I agree. He is just 45 years old and has won two NC already. He would be Floridas Bear Bryant. He could stay their another 20 - 25 years and there is not telling what he would accomplish. but he could do the same at Notre Dame.

The Irishman from Boston who has done so well @ Cincy. This is really a no brainer. Notre Dame will not blow this chance.

I just find it unlikely he'd give up a job like Florida, especially considering where he has them right now and for the forseable future

I can think of 10 Million $$$$$$$$$$$ reasons why he might leave UF.......
