Denbrock is highly overrated on this board. He was fine. He also had NFL playmakers on the offense. He is not some wunderkind OC.

I am VERY curious why Josh Pate picked Freeman #1 candidate for LSU if it were up to him

How is it that he and Verge are close? Right now Freeman is walking on water at Notre Dame and has no reason to leave.

ND is rightfully excited about their guy but if this were to happen there is no way they could play it off like we did them a favor (as with BK). It would be like a nuke going off.
That world would be a hilarious few weeks. Sort of want to see it.

I said this in the other Freeman thread but in Freeman’s own words he was preparing to come to LSU with Kelly before ND interviewed him and offered the job. The rumor about his wife was either BS or she changed her mind in just 1 year.
