is Benny Saia, former Dutchtown Head Coach. Great person for that position after the fiasco with the past coach.

The guy that had D1 athletes all over the field and couldn’t make it out of the first round of the playoffs?

What fiasco? Tell Benny that he will not be allowed to beat a team by more than 3 TD's. Also tell him that the admin. will not like him if he becomes more important than they are. There wasn't any fiasco with the former coach, he was railroaded out because he was too good and became more important than the admin.

P.S. The sideline passes was for people that had supported and gave monetarily to the program. Not to mention, their time!

Before you post, make sure you know both sides of the story.

It wasnt a fiasco - it was an orgy. Trosclair was plowing all the moms there. Sounds like fun not a fiasco.

Benny Saia was Maximus' coach. Basically a father figure to him in his youth.

From what I heard, he was letting the team drink alcohol and having relations with some girls

Those kids were coached and developed in middle school then get to DTown High and they got by on talent alone...shame so many great players were wasted on teams that if coached better in high school could have won some trophies!!

GTFO. The Middle School Coaches in Ascension are basically playground coaches.
And you really thought DT could win championships with 5’6 180lb LBs, 5’9 210 OL? They had great players sprinkled apart every couple years amongst average to below average players.

I do, and the sideline passes and winning by more than 21 was a cover story. The admin bailed you.....I mean him out instead of throwing you under the bus, which they probably should have.

Ascension Catholic already has a hall of fane football coach who won two state championships with lots of 5’9” skill guys and 200 lb linemen. That’s the nature of Single A ball. DT was a nice coach but probably the third best all time at that school.

Let me tell you something...they had middle school coaches better than some of those high schools and almost all of them better than Saia! BABIN is the 1st name off the top my head and the Dutchtown Middle coach from the early 2000's

This guy is too old to bang the students so it's a safe hire.
