JC didn’t have him on for no reason

Man I hope so. Highest ceiling of any name that I’ve seen yet. Not that the money matters to me but he’ll prob be a bargain until he proves himself also.

Guys, Napier is great but we have an opportunity here to hire a coach that has way more experience and most likely a championship under their belt. Why would we go after this guy? Unless we fall to 5-6th on the pecking order it ain’t happening. He should’ve taken the Auburn or South Carolina job.

Not buying it. This feels like another Jordy campaign.
Although I’m not melting over it.

That list doesn't seem realistic

A coach's looks aren't part of my decision process, but hey if that's what gets you off, you be you.

How do you people determine this?

I mean it’s an opinion which is about 99% of the posts on this board. I just think that a guy that’s been a big part of some very high caliber teams and then goes to a crap school like ULL and keeps them relevant is worth giving a shot. I like guys that get the most from their resources not old re-treads that are just big names that’ll require a big binding contract that we’ll be stuck with if they come here on cruise control and don’t make us much better. Just my .02.

Not saying you're wrong, it was a serious question. Whenever I think of someone having the highest ceiling I think it's somewhat because of the unknown, which could also mean the have the lowest floor. I'm with your line of thinking. I like Fickell a lot for basically the same reasoning as you but he has done it on a bigger scale.

I like fickell a lot as well. Him and Napier are my 1a and 1b. I know a lot of the posts here are BS but I’m constantly hearing that he’s not interested in the job. Those two guys are the only ones out of the lists I’ve seen that I’d be genuinely excited about.
