depends on how much is offered a year. he's making 900k as HC in Waiting. If he's offered somewhere about 1.4-1.6 mil he just as soon wait and stay at UT and hope Texas pulls a Bobby Bowden on Mack Brown.

$3M/6 years is what I'm reading from the tn rivals site. not the mods, but guys who think they are in the 'know.' their mod believes that its far from over.

However, the info from the non-UT source, along with the reports from the coaches that they haven't heard from the Texas staff today has us wondering what's going on a little.
It might not mean anything at all, but we're certainly keeping an eye on things. The bottom line is that the silence on the issue from school and coaches is at least some sort of red flag. (Ketchum)

the thing that's not been mentioned is - I guess there's some sort of coaches convention in Orlando? Apparently Musch & Mack are traveling back and were/still are out of contact - so you know how it goes, every 30min that passes and nothing at all comes out of Muschamp's camp, the more skittish they get, and the speculation continues

I would be as well. The only way I see Muschamp turning down $3M a year is if Texas gives him a concrete timetable as to when he will take over for Mack Brown, with the timetable being no later than the start of the 2012 season. (And increasing his current salary)
