Has anyone heard of this? If so, why would he make that move? Remember, this is just a rumor I heard and we all know how that works.

Haven't heard this. The only reason to go there is if he is from that area or it's his alma mater.

I don't think he makes that move, he's better off at MSU. He won't stay in Starkville forever but it will take more than a job like that to leave. Your not competing with Texas, OU, Nebraska in that conference with the Jayhawks - not gonna happen!

Its not awful. Who in the Big XII north is any good besides Nebraska(Who loses a lot after this year)
Mizzou, maybe
Other than that everyone sucks. You have a very good chance of getting yourself into a play in for a BCS game every year.
On the other hand at Stanford Cal, USC, Oregon, Oregon St., and Arizona will all be in the same race

you can't get guys to go there and tehy have crap in-state talent
hell NU is having trouble in the arms race and they have top-notch facilities, tradition, etc

Someone has to win the division though.
Colorado is in a terrible situation
Iowa State? Not really in a better situation than KU
Kansas State? Same recruiting base
It comes down to Mizzou, Kansas, and Nebraska

I agree, Stanford to Kansas is going backwards. It's NOT a lateral move.
That would be stupid for Harbaugh, and I don't see that happenin.
Mississippi State to Kansas is a move up, though, I could definitely see that happening, although I doubt it will.

:bwahaha: This would be about as good a fit as Coach O with all the debutants and what not at Ole Miss.
KU and Stanford's football programs maybe almost on the same level, but this doesn't mean it’s a lateral it means it would be a huge demotion......
Lawrence <-> Palo Alto.....
Random State School <-> one of the most respected universities in the world....
I keep reading JH maybe angling for a pro job but there is no way in hell he'll go to Kansas if he does he ott to be involuntarily committed till he stops hearing "the voices"
