Kiffen wants to be head coach.
That's his goal. Not happening.
They think he's immature.

do know higher ups love coach o and it wouldn't surprise me he stays on and brings his own offensive guy. Keep the existing staff

I'll save you the trouble. Kiffin is who he would bring in if he gets the job.

Curious about Mullen i know LSU is a much better job than Miss. State. Is LSU gauging his interest or is Mullen lobbying for the job behind closed doors?

Did they deduce that on their own or has Al Davis's ghost been consulted?

Does this mean Jimbo said no or is it option B if they are talking to these guys in the first place?

1. Herman/Jimbo
2. Shaw

I think that's it. Assuming we don't win out and they keep Ed.

Thoughts?

Jimbo is a plan A option.
That hasn't changed.

Mullen's resume at the time of this hiring >>Miles resume at the time of his hiring

Surrounding this guy with the best recruiting staff in the nation AND a great defensive coordinator who won't see the job as a stepping stone (Geoff Collins) would do magic

I cringe when I hear people bring up Kiffin and Briles and don't consider this dude

I'd hope not, this guy is seriously a very mediocre coach. Outside of what he did with Dak Prescott has been unimpressive, and even with Prescott he wasn't that great.

I "cringe" more when I hear people immediately discredit someone like Mullen (who certainly wouldn't be anywhere near my top choice), but are ready to make Orgeron our permanent head coach.
