Yeah, the egg bowl he lost. I was referencing the one he won and then immediately got his interim tag removed and became the head coach.

Are you dull?

That was Ross Bjork. Have you been following him the last few days? He is a clown.

No one keeps a coach for the bowl game they are going to fire. Are you hearing your argument here? It makes no logical sense.

For the fourth time, he likely was going to get another year until the punching incident. That was the final straw for our very conservative boosters.

I disagree with your argument. My argument is Lane Kiffin showed up in Oxford and these conservative boosters knew Moorehead couldn't match up with the excitement of LK. You have your narrative, I have mine.

The firing of Joe Moorhead and the hiring of Mike leach was John Cohen, who is also an idiot. But those two instances form the majority of your argument.

Did John Cohen allow the first thing for Lebby to see was a sign that said "Go to Hell Ole Miss"?

I think your narrative is a bunch of bologna and you’re a bit narcissistic.

At the end of the day it is a rivalry that both schools and fan bases are passionate about. That’s easily illustrated on both sides

It is your super bowl. It is a game we would rather play in September and be done with. HUGE HUGE difference.

Ah there’s that sign again!

Did Ross Bjork pass out the “we run the sip hats” like it y’all had just won the Super Bowl? Did he tell Lane to go on a tweeting rampage about our new coach? Did he put you in a Mississippi State thread rambling on for 2 days about how obsessed we are?

See.

I'm just bored at work. When I left work I didn't even worry about this. But work comes back every day. That is how it works.

And Lane lives by the motto "Always be closing" and we are poaching your class. Pretty important for a couple of kids still left on the board.

Well if all those things I listed can be filed under “recruiting tactics” then we can just file the sign at the airport as a couple of kids just trying to help the pilot know where to land the plane

He made 4-5 tweets/retweets/x’s
/whatever in a row regarding Lebby. One was a photoshopped picture of lebby on his shoulders. I thought all of this was funny and good natured ribbing that comes with a rivalry, but I am also not the one going nuts over a sign.

It had nothing to do with State or the rivalry. It had to do with Lebby. Lebby left Oxford on bad terms with Lane.

Lebby was essentially trying to win over the local boosters to consolidate power for when Lane left. Lane wasn't really happy about that.

So it would have garnered the same reaction if Lebby would have taken the HC job at say, Kentucky?

most likely. Is this your first time coming across Lane's twitter account? Go look at all the Jimbo stuff the week of the A&M game.

I guess I’ll just have to take your word for it and tell myself to forget the fact that Kiffin didn’t start going after Lebby until the literal moment he took our job, despite the disagreement you’re saying happened between the two being years ago

This is ten times better than the hire A&M made

State is gonna be competitive like they were under Mullen and Leach. 9 regular season wins is the ceiling though. That’s the reality of being Mississippi State.

At least they know their place in the pecking order. Not shitting on them by any means. Just saying. I’d love to see a world where State finishes 3rd in the SEC and makes the CFP. Just don’t see it but who knows

Keep believing that. Did you not see his post game press conference after the Egg Bowl? The fanbase was more than ready to run him off. That's why he told us fans to "kick rocks" and "pound sand" because he thought he was safe until the fighting incident caused boosters and fans to revolt. It didn't have one damn thing to do with Lane freaking Kiffin. If it was Kiffin why the hell was Moorhead not fired right after Kiffin was hired?

Because if he survived Thanksgiving weekend, you can't fire someone without cause in early December. He needed the bowl game and fight to be an excuse to move on from him.
