miles with a staff like that definitely would stop the bleeding for 3 or 4 years. have a HCIW to take over. miles can recruit.

On top of this, he likely brings in Austin Thomas as well. It would be a huge haul for UT.

Why not, he's getting paid one way or another.

Could Miles agree to coach Tenn for $1?

He could do that.

No. The Tennessee job has a market value to potential employees. For example, if they have been offering coaches 5-5.5 million, that is what the job is worth.

He could do it for $1 but LSU would not be required to make up any differences.

If he took the job at UCF, which is worth $1.7 million, LSU would have to pay the difference.

agreed, fans hostility with miles isnt about hate but rather utter frustration because we liked him but his complete refusal to keep up with the times and modernize his approach caused us to suffer and be so much less then we could have been.

had les been willing to change i think he could be on par with saban in the number of national championship trophies in the display case

Tennessee getting the old crew back together would be hilarious . They get Fulmer Chavis round 2.

I don't get the both Chavis and Steele part.

Steele calls defenses on 1st and 2nd down, then there's 3rd and Chavis, and it starts all over again after the opposition moves the chains.

I think people were assuming Gus was going Hawg and Steele would be available. I assume Steele would be staying put now...

Tennessee's schedule is very manageable next season.

Georgia won't be nearly as good. Florida and Alabama at home.

Gonna win the East in year 1 FACT

He would’ve done it in BR after 2016. He had LF and wanted to stay in the I. He is stubborn but slowly was figuring out he had to change. Alleva and the fanbase wouldn’t wait and I don’t blame him. So no reason to be mad at Miles. Basically we hired Miles junior. They are very similar. One was olineman one was dlineman. Both aren’t XnO guys and rely on cord’s. Both will recruit well enough to always win 8-9 games. And once in a while a few great players emerge and get us into the natty conversation. O will end up with similar success but maybe not as long term.

Why would LSU fans hate any of those guys? LSU doesn't play Tennessee again for a while and it would be nice to see them succeed and give Alabama a good game every once in a while. I have no ill will toward any of the above.
