His daughter probably already has a scholarship offer from LSU for gymnastics

Apparently there haven't been any talks between Tomlin's agent and LSU or anything. The guy is simply saying if he was in Tomlin's shoes, it would be a great move that Tomlin may be interested in.

Damn I actually mentioned Tomlin in a post last night. If he was actually interested he'd be at the top of my list.

As a lifelong Tigers/Steelers fan all I can say is God help us if this is true. Aside from the fact that Tomlin is completely unproven as a college coach and recruiter, he's just not a very good NFL coach. His former assistants have won more titles than he has and with less talent. Want more Matt Canada offense? That's what you'll get.

I think you’re right. I think the hire won't come from any of the names being thrown around right now

This would be be awesome, but no way it happens. He's got great job security with the Steelers and do you really believe that he's going to leave the NFL for LSU?

I mean this isn't Ray Perkins we're talking about and an 80s NFL.

I know it seems a stretch, but Tomlin running a program (and teaching what it takes to succeed at the next level), and sitting in any living room talking to recruits and parents would be hard to beat. No idea if it is possible, but just the thought of him in LSU gear across the field from Saban, Kirby, Jimbo and others would be enjoyable. Talk to the man. Onward and upward.

That would be absolutely amazing. Only thing is if he's up for recruiting, after being in the NFL for so long.

Someone should show the woke crowd this thread and see if we're still "racist" for not wanting Mel Tucker.
