Did we forget that Saban is considered one of the best Defensive Backs Coaches in football? Or just simply that he was Bill Belichick's DC? Saban had a life before LSU lol

I would give my left nut to get Tomlin. But that's such a longshot

Well this isn’t true
I've watched every Steelers game for the past 25 years.
I won't walk through every example, and I'm not saying he's a bad coach by any means, but his in-game decision making is often very very questionable.

Despite my white fragility, I could get behind this one.

I had no idea Tomlin was only 49. Didn’t realize he was that young when he took over in Pittsburg.
Wow, what a hire this would be. Is there actually anything to this rumor?

Tomlin would be the true homerun hire.
Checks all the boxes.

Would be a slam dunk. Just don't bring Canada back with you lol.

exactly how much of Alabama's offense or defense is saban calling?

He has a bunch of (much older) videos on YouTube where he goes incredibly in depth on his defenses and defensive philosophies. He's brilliant.

Only if he brings Matt Canada back as OC

My god. This would be the grandest slams of all slams

he's still a ceo style coach. being a "ceo" doesn't mean that you don't know whats going on schematically.

Unlike Orgeron, he can call a defense and make halftime/in game adjustments. Youngest coach to win a Super Bowl too.

When I use CEO, I am referring to a coach like Orgeron or Miles (or Dabo, as the most successful example) who doesn't run his own system or necessarily have mastery on one side of the ball or the other, so they are highly dependent on hiring and keeping two good coordinators.
Saban is an expert CEO coach, but all of their systems seem to flow through him.

I'd be on that train....

tomlin has never been a head coach in college.
Posted on 10/20/21 at 12:25 pm to Lou Pai
Pretty sure that would satisfy most of the fanbase.
