Can't blame him. He's comfortable there, doesn't have outrageous pressure, and doesn't have to follow a living legend in the eyes of many USC fans.

He turned you down when things were good years ago, why would he want to captain the sanctions ship?

Leinart's dad's take..

Yep, Kurt has been vicous these last few years with more targets than he had even in St.Louis in the late '90s..

Leinart is gonna play the role of Aaron Rodgers when Favre's understudy..until Warner retires or gets too old..Warner is blessed by God..unreal.

no disrespect but if Riley leaves now OSU would have problems for years to come. Not too many peeps see that job as a permanent one, just a stepping stone. OSU has had enough pain and misery in football, glad to see Riley stay. I knew he would.

What about this scenario

What if Jax keeps JDR? Surely he wouldn't step down from that job to go to USC, what do yall do then?

Have you SC guys heard of Gary Crowton?

People call him "The Wizard" because his offensive schemes will blow your mind.

You should give him a chance.

Didn't Oregon St. learn anything from Notre Dame? He now has a 9 yr contract. What happens when the program starts to tank? They just screwed themselves.

mike riley

1. has OSU in contention for the pac10 title in most years

2. is a hometown hero

3. just turned down the #1 or #2 program in the nation and more money than OSU could pay

it's called loyalty

OSU is like the Moo State of the Pac-10. There's really no reason to go there compared to the other schools. The only reason they're as good as they are is because of Mike Riley, I'm sure they're not worried about having him under contract for that long.

Why doesn't USC go after Lane Kiffin? He's a solid coach and respectable leader.

I would rather him stay in the SEC.
