Yurcich would be legit.

Frankly, Mike D is just reading this board and sharing that info without proper sourcing.

Maybe. But Canada's name popped up on the board long before he was interviewed. Basically, you can't research the best offenses in the country and not have Yurcich's accomplishments jump out at you.

So next years OC is not on staff right now so it isn’t Ensminger but Ensminger is Plan A so next years OC is on staff right now.

Got it.

I'm not saying he ended up on the list Alleva has given Yaw Yaw from here, I'm saying Mike Detillier doesn't know shite and is just using a Tigerdroppings as a source without acknowledging it.

Right. Conflicting info in the OP. Need clarification.

The way I read the OP is that Mike Detillier is saying it's not Ensminger. I think the OP is saying that from his point (and mine) of view Ensminger is clearly the fallback plan and as things drag out is looking to us more and more like we'll be using using the fallback plan.

At least that is how I read it.

But if the next OC isn’t on staff right now then that cancel out Ensminger altogether

Seems to me they're hiring someone that will be paired with Ensminger. That way they can give him the job without giving him the job. O clearly wants Ensminger heavily involved in the offense.

IMO Cumbie would be best case scenario for spread & Sark for pro-style. Yurcich would be a slight improvement over Canada. Spavital, Gilbert, Ensminger are all steps in the wrong direction.

That interview was a lot of incoherent babble

But he’s basically an O mouth piece, my gut feeling is they want the appearance of a search and when those publicly don’t work out, you “begrudgingly” turn to to Ensminger. Sort of like the charade of our head coach search

That was Detillier's take. The OP was also expressing his take, which is a prevelant one, that he was under the impression that Ensminger was the Plan B but that as time dragged out if seemed more and more likely. Which is at least part of why he found Mike D's assertion interesting as do I because it implies they may already have a committed candidate not on staff who is awaiting the actual dismissal of Canada.

Jut my take on the OP's statement.

How is Ensminger both the obvious back up and the A plan?

Spavital would be a disaster. Let's hope and pray that's not actually an option.

So we went from briles, Freeze, and sark to spavital, ensminger, and Yurcich (spelling?)?

HOLY HELL FIRE O TODAY. Fire Alleva and Alexander for not letting O get Freeze from the beginning

I’m saying if you read what most are saying on this board and on Twitter. TBob said it’s done. I’ve posted that TBob is dead wrong. Ensminger isn’t a done deal.

"As time dragged out." What? Canada is still our OC! Personally, I think firing him and paying a buyout after one year is a fricking joke and horrible mismanagement, I'd make Orgeron keep him. But if he's fired (today? tomorrow? Again, he's still on staff!) why in the world does his replacement have to be hired the next day? What is the rush? Nothing has "dragged out"! It hasn't happened yet!

As LSU fans, I think we need to clearly express our outrage at a hiring process that is set up to hire Ensminger in the end, but "make it look like" there was a legitimate coaching search. There is no way in the world I can be convinced that it is impossible to hire a good, bright, offensive mind as offensive coordinator at LSU, who isn't named Steve Ensminger.

While I understand your point, that will be pennies to the dollars that will the PR response and offensive productivity.

The search (whether real or contrived) will render the response it deserves, based on the hire.
