If Michigan decides to fire Rodriguez and is unable to land Harbaugh, the next target would reportedly be former Carr assistant and current San Diego State coach Brady Hoke.
I find it interesting that Miles often not mentioned in reports like this...

I think the buyout for Miles is too much to overcome making Hoke the easy second choice.

Miles has a special clause in his contract that would allow him to go to UM..

No buyout at all

Miles knows what he has built. He also knows that the lack of success he has had has been a result of a lack of QB. Now he has one, he would be a fool to leave now. Can you imagine conversation he would have to have with the ZM family. Thanks for deciding to play for LSU, by the way I won't be here. He couldn't do it.

Well, he would need to have the same conversation without about 85 other players

Leaving is hard, but it's always a possibility

Parents and players have to know that going in

Mich is fugged if JH is out of the picture. I dont think LSU's ath dept is as mired down in politics.

From a Michigan fan watching closely:

quote:

The new AD was supposedly among those that didn't want Miles in 2008 and hasn't changed his mind. Miles seems really unlikely.

And that didnt go over well back in 07. The fanbase thought Miles was a slamdunk hire. Hoke to Mich is likely...about as sexy as Edsall to the turtles.
