How come the college and pro coaching ranks don't include a solid cadre of former LSU players?

Alumni here have traditionally been average to mediocre head coaches. The two that immediately come to mind are Gus Tinsley and Jerry Stovall.

Lack of great success in the 1970's and 1980's like Michigan had during that same period. 10-20 years from now I think they'll be a good many.
