Matt Campbell, Tomlin and Fickell are supposedly USC’s targets

Colin Cowturd talked to USC’s AD this weekend, Colin was saying how USC should go after coaches in the pros such as Doug Peterson at the Eagles, Matt Ruhle at the Panthers, and Tomlin at Pittsburgh, he would go after everyone in the pros and throw $11 to $12 million at them. USC must be sort of thinking along the same lines because Tomlin has become one of their targets.
Colin didn’t note it but he was implying that college football has become a bigger deal than the NFL coaching wise.. Woodward has supposedly interviewed one NFL coordinator, wonder if there could be more, he may be leaning this way if the Riley deal falls through. Woodward is known for making surprising “gets” or hires. So anything is possible.

I am on record as saying that it does not make sense for Riley to come to LSU… And I am guessing Woodward knows that and not realisticly pursuing him.

The big donor TAF members probably know where Woodward’s leaning since they are footing much of the bills. I do work for one really big member but I’m not going to ask. Whomever he and his family see as possibly being LSU’s next coach, they’re paying a huge price for that knowledge.

I don't think Campbell or Fickell would be a good fit for USC. A better way to put it would be that USC probably isn't a good fit for either one of them.
