If Matt Campbell can recruit in the sec—a big if—he is the best coach on the board for everything else. And I don’t think it’s that close.

Giving a mega deal to a guy like Campbell is a bigger gamble than putting all your eggs in the Riley basket
If we struck out on Riley then we have to call Aranda and if he's legit committed to Baylor (b/c we waited so long), then the options are:
1. Kiffin
2. Younger mid-priced coach to gamble on

What makes you all think a deal with a coach isn’t already done and it was never Riley? Or maybe it still is Riley. There is no reason to just post everything that comes to mind. An announcement is coming.

It's really not a big if. Campbell would recruit well here . His genuine personality endears himself to people. He's done better than anyone in history at Iowa State. Many here don't comprehend what a difficult job that is.

LSU mostly recruits itself. I would rather have a very competent X and O’s coach then a great recruiter such as orgeron. Just being in LA gives you a fair chance at a ton of top recruits.

No shite baw. He's a great coach who will have a great staff and get players here if hired. The mindless speculation that he wouldn't because no one including Saban would get elite talent to Ames, Iowa is just more and typical TD stupidity.

Or perhaps Jim Leonard at Wisconsin is ready to make the next step. Solid coach, stuck behind Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, etc

No I’m saying you get recruits in the sec by paying them and he seems not to be the type willing to do that or sign off on that. If he is though? He’d have us winning multiple chips.
