HE will need top flight coordinators though and they are tough to find.
In perpetuity. O and Pittman both had success with some of their early hires, but quickly ran into trouble when replacing staff. Even with talent, one miss on a coordinator can take you from a contender to .500 in this league. Even Dabo has hit the rocks and struggled since Venables left.

Why didn't FSU get him back when FSU had an opening for a HC position?
I’m pretty sure he was a candidate, but Norvell was coming off his best season at Memphis and making the Cotton Bowl. Offensive guys are usually an easier sell to a fanbase.
ETA- Stoops only had 1 10 win season when the FSU job opened again in 2019. That probably made him a little easier to dismiss.

No I'm not talking about how it moved the ball.
I told you exactly how it was different.
One more time, we went from disorganized, plodding, predictable, and conservative to more up tempo, no communication issues, far more varied play calling, and extremely aggressive.
It had nothing to do w/scoring and moving the ball and everything to do w/how the game was approached.
Jimbo would never have approached the game that way in a million years and we'd have wasted 2-3 timeouts on him being slow to get the plays in b/c he was running interference w/Petrino.

Or Stoops knew the ins and outs at FSU and said no thanks I'll wait on Iowa.

So you are letting major donors pick coaches and run your AD?????
Did you learn nothing from Texas……..

That's the story.
Now this is when they get Traylor rammed down their throats and they eat a little humble pie.
Nobody will all of a sudden be screaming "the fans revolted"

Then you read about how the players said they wanted to keep Coach Robinson as HC.
Saw some screenshot of a long letter posted to players’ social media

Careful what you wish for. When we revolted against a hire we ended up with Jeremy Pruitt as our HC and Phillip Fulmer as AD.
And Auburn ended up with Bryan Harsin when we did it

Not as bad as when UT let Clay Travis choose their coach, but close

Wow. A&M is a clusterfrick.

Hiring the good recruiting dline coach won’t work long term.
However, O did assemble the goat team and win a natty. If Aggy wins even just one natty and collapses it’s better than what they have been.
LSU
Clemson
Da U
All won titles with the retard assistant taking over. Once the OC/DC left it gets rocky.
Dabo has held up longer than expected but that is likely due to the acc and he kept his DC forever.

Should have been Elko the start. But Bjork will probably hire the interim because he’s brain dead.

A&M didn’t beat LSU today but the way the team was coached was worlds different from the slop Jimbo was running out there.
This is so funny to read because every team after they scored 30 against this terrible defense thought their offense was better than they really were.

Honestly, it's not as bad, yet. At least with Schiano, we had a reason other than coaching ability to reject the hire.
Right or wrong, there were better coaches available that John Currie didn't even consider before going straight to Schiano after we couldn't get Mullen.
Could get a lot worse for A&M.

What a shitty program. Who the frick wants to coach under that massive, milkman thumb?

Y’all are so fricking stupid
Stoops was a perfect fit for that job. A proven head coach that desperately wants to take the next step. A job that has all the resources available but desperately needs a serious head coach to come in and lay some groundwork. But instead your boosters revolt and you all think hiring a no name DL coach is the answer bc he is “well spoken” and “players like him”.

An an LSU fan I am glad. Stoops would’ve been a very good hire with your resources. The man can coach, his teams are physical and they play good defense
Not a sexy hire but a really good coach
Bjork has turned you into quite the joke. How long does he get ?
