I don't think Les is completely comfortable with the spread offense and he will probably go back to more pro sets. If that is the case, then someone like Whipple makes a lot of sense.

Regardless of the pro set vs spread vs zone read debate which will be ongoing, Mark Whipple develops QBs from nothing.
See Big Ben and J. Harris...

I would love to see Whipple here. Make it happen Les!

All this talk about Whipple but no one even knows if Les is interested, if Whipple is interested or if there has been any contact between LSU and Whipple. At least not posted in this thread. So this discussion of Whipple makes as much sense as discussing Charlie Weiss. Just another what if.

Which is what internet forums are designer for. Speculation.

Yea but this thread has turned into a discussion that actually appears like there is a real opportunity to get him and I haven't heard anything anywhere that there has even been any contact or interest by either party.

Gary Crowton is the Offensive coordinator still so oviously there are no ACTUAL candidates at this time...

I'm bumping this.
I, nor anyone else, have any clue if Les has even considered Whipple. I do however wish someone would somehow enlighten Les on this man.

I would take Whipple over any college OC in the country right now

we can all dream about a "great" OC...Miles will hire some loser and we'll end up w/another frustrating season...

Personally I would love to have Whipple as my number one choice, and number 2 would be Kevin Wilson with Heupel(sp) as QB / TE coach. The only reason I wouldn't want Wilson is the check with me offense.

The ACC VS SEC is mute for this discussion.
I hate to be the grammar police, but honestly I'm telling you this because you might like to know. It's "moot" not "mute".

How many of you guys actually think GC leaves??

With the way the sideline conversations went this year between Crowton and Miles, I would be shocked if Crowton is here next year.

See Big Ben and J. Harris...
can people on here make an argument without simply making shite up?
ben was a first round pick that many thought could have gone number 1 overall just as easily as eli did.
and jacory was the number 7 qb prospect when he came out. number 206 overall. jordan was number 208. heres how they compare:
Completion percentage:
JORDAN - 62.1
JACORY - 59.9
TDs:
JORDAN - 19
JACORY - 23
INTs:
JORDAN - 6
JACORY - 17
Sacks:
JORDAN - 29
JACORY - 30
QB Rating:
JORDAN - 137.79
JACORY - 141.56
Rush Yards:
JORDAN - 104
JACORY - minus 198
that last stat is right by the way. MINUS 198. he didnt have one game with positive rush yards.
jacory started every game as a freshman as well, yet is no more "developed" than jordan. so explain again why whipple is so amazing.

And don't forget Jarrett Lee was a 4-star recruit.
