would be a great fit at LSU

would be able to focus on OC exclusively and be more hands on like he said.. has a ton of talent to work with, and runs the ideal offense for LSU.. then if LSU does it turn it around with the QBs he will be highly sought after.

also, he could bring in a great QB to LSU

I am 100% down for this. Have always liked Richt and most of their Offenses have been lights out.

Richt to SCAR. Wins SEC Champ 2 years later.

Yet he hasn't done it at Georgia over the last 10 years. But yea, that would be cruelly ironic.

well he did win 2 in his first 5 years here. Apparently the guy does his best work right out of the gates.

Also this would be a OC hire that would pump some life back into the program that was lost last week. Fans need to see a visible change to have hope of improvement. Possibly could even draw a QB recruit here.

Makes too much sense, it'll never happen. He'll probably get scooped up for a HC anyway.

Yep. But maybe he's tired of being the HC. I can imagine there is significantly more pressure being HC then OC.

Wishful thinking...

LSU's OC for a year and then to either Arky or Auburn when their coaches are let go after losing seasons.

yea, or maybe he's looking for a 1-2 year gig just to keep his name out there and weigh out his options until the right job comes along, like a Kiffin or Muschamp. That'd be the only way he'd come here.

I don't know about CIW but if there really is a power struggle between Alleva and Miles, Richt would be an ace in the hole for Alleva. Alleva could dictate that Les give full control of the offense to Richt. If Miles doesn't comply, Alleva has a guy that could replace Miles as head coach in the middle of the season.
