In January 2007, less than a year after starting his college coaching career, Malzahn left Arkansas to be the assistant head coach with Todd Graham at Tulsa, where he spent two years before moving on to Auburn.
From Dan Brester and I agree Malsahn is a Cam?
Like head coach Gene Chizik, Malzahn has benefited tremendously from the phenomenal efforts of Cam Newton, as pundits and college football aficionados everywhere have given Malzahn a good deal of credit for Newton's success.
Despite being the winner of the 2010 Frank Broyles Award, which goes to the nation's top assistant, Malzahn's efficacy as a head coach is questionable, considering his unusual luck with coaching highly talented quarterbacks thus far.

No coach will win at Vandy, admission requirements are to high. Mallzahn made the right choice. He wants to coach a winner and Vandy is not it.

I also see a guy that wanted to throw the ball 40 times a game with guys like Darren McFadden, Felix Jones, and Payton Hillis in the backfield

Man you people need to curb the damn expectations for this guy.....he definitely has a great system.....The real question is can he do it consistently at a high level....I think that sooner or later SEC coaches will figure it out...he could go back to Tulsa and probably do it for 30 years.
I still question the fact that Vandy offered 3 mil that is an insane number for Malzahn.....hell 1 mil from Auburn is pretty ludicrous but that what the Barn does.

Tell me what offense or coordinator has done at a high level consistently?
How many seasons do you have to do it a high level for it to be considered good enough for your standards?

Anywho what did he do at r-kansas again??? And yes he has had a great 2 years at the Barn and it wouldn't surprise me if he had another couple.....but is he worth today 3 mil as a head coach....F no.

I'll answer that with a question.....name me an offensive coordinator that has got a head coaching job in college and 3 mil a year after only 5-6 years in college and 2 of those were at a mid major.....although I agree he is hot becuase of a national title....and the juice

If you want to say that his lack of college coaching is the reason he is not ready, then why say the real question is something totally different.

It is obvious he can produce results consistently.....look at his high school record and at Tulsa.....but IMO the jury is out on what he can do at the major college level....although he did have a good year at Auburn in '09 but winning is all that matters right???
