For not taking $3 m atVandy and not becoming a Top 15 highest paid coach in CF for three reasons. His stock is way high now (ask Schiano, Tedford, and Kiffen how fame is fleeting). For the first time Vandy is committed to winning, willing to invest heavy with modest expectations, and as Stanford, TCU, and Northwestern have proven, you can compete as a "smart school" if you recruit nationally (TCU recruits Texas). Nashville is a cool place where a lot kids would come to play and get a "Southern Ivy" education if they thought that they had a chance to win and rally around a national brand leader. If AU's stock goes down without Cam, so does Malzahn.

I think the 3 mil offer was BS.

Gus will be fine.

I'll be very surprised if he stays at Auburn and doesn't take an HC gig after this year. I think this thing is far from being over.

Vandy should hire Crowton. Unfortunately, I think he loves LSU too much. It may take more than $3 million to lure him away.

There are other jobs yet to open up. Gus still has a good chance of moving on.

Considering that Cam made Malzahin, and they will be back to where they wer before him, he is definitlly an idiot, because he missed his chance. Good luck Auburn

Look, I cant stand Gus, I would rather watch a Pop Warner game than his offenses, but to deny that he has been effective in moving the ball and putting points on the board puts the mo in moron.
