I mean I'm not kidding myself. I've never thought he was a great person. I'm just hoping he's not THAT bad. The whole he would've dug himself with his lies would be WAY more egregious than Miami or LSU

He has indeed been more aggressive with the 'I'm staying' stuff this time. But he's also much more accomplished; maybe he feels bulletproof.

With Saban, when there has been this much buzz, has it ever not been true?

Don't forget to get plenty of rest tonight and to hydrate. Get some salt tablets to prevent cramping. Thursday is D-Day.

I've been impressed with today's run through.

A couple of missteps but very solid pacing from all parties.

I'm confident that tomorrow's events will be competitive with some of the memorable explosions on the board.

Bama fans will say "we hear this every offseason." But there has never been this much smoke without him leaving, no.

You realize that puts him at 2019. Which is less than his current contract of 2020, right

Man, you and I have butted heads a couple of times but I enjoy your posts and zeal and I enjoy CptBengal's posts, mostly on the Political Talk board...it's going to be unfortunate to lose either of you for a year but with that said, good luck to you sir...and CptBengal!

My mistake. Thought I read 2020. Could be wrong.

If Saban intends to stay, dragging this footsies game out this long might start to become counterproductive.

I think it already has. With the outrageous money at either Bama or Texas, he'll be under a lot of scrutiny, and not much goodwill if he makes a misstep.
