What silence? He has already said he is too old to move. His wife told the WSJ they are not going anywhere.

Mick, I have heard him say, in some form or fashion, that he was not going anywhere. And, that AL would be his last stop. Many time over in the last few months.

TROLLING LEGEND = SABAN.

I bet Auburn fans are distraught to only get to play for the BCS National Championship....

Technically he wouldnt deserve any backlash. The comments that he made regarding texas was when mack was still the coach, it was just professional courtesy.

no one has to give the "green light" to hire the greatest coach of his generation. Saban doesn't "interview". He says what he wants and its on you to pay it or not. "Green light" What a bunch of bull shite.

Powers meets with the Regents tomorrow with his job on the line. He's a big Mack supporter. Looks like he saw the writing on the wall and threw Mack under the bus to save his arse.

the texas president is a huge academic and worries about spending absurd money on a coach, so maybe saban took a little convincing, plus they arent going to interview saban, he knows the job is his

So would $10 million a year make him the highest paid coach in both college football and the NFL?
