Doesn't look like they commented on Saban at all from GEAUX's recap

Was told by a great source (hopefully most are) Saban is still deciding at this hour. Weighing both sides carefully.

Saban is waiting for Mack to officially be out so he can tell Alabama sayonara..

Nothing will happen until Mack is out.

..which is tomorrow.

So.. Saban officially to Texas either late tomorrow or Friday.

Right before the silent period begins for recruiting.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't want the appearance that he helped force Mack out. He doesn't have the greatest rep in these coaching change situations.

Well now I've got this sick feeling in my stomach...

Nevermind, just a burp that temporarily got stuck.

Seriously though, I'll be a bit disappointed if he leaves. Wont melt because I've got too much other shite to do, but it would sting for a day or so.

If Les left LSU, I'm not sure how I would react... it depends on who replaces him i guess

that's a brilliant move

colin is the only ESPN personality even considering that this could be happening, and most sports fans think he's an idiot, so nobody will believe him

surprised skip bayless hasn't jumped on the honesty train too

I wonder if this would be moving faster if not for the leaks and Mack Brown throwing a wrench in the plans? Maybe the process was to go about business as usual until the announcement made at the board meeting. Now Mack Brown is pissed because his pride is taking a hit and Saban is pissed because he hates leaks.

If Texas offers Les anywhere near $10 million, I'd hold a fundraiser to get his head examined if he didn't take it. Just sayin.

I think the thing that kinked the announcement timetable's Slinky was Brown's agent being in court. If he were available for discussion, then this would've done down yesterday, IMO.

No offense, but Texas thinks waaaaaaay to highly of themselves to get someone as idiosyncratic as Les Miles

LSU's clock management would improve overnight.

This is such a key point. I'm not saying he will tell Bama sayonara, but nothing will happen until Brown is gone. The longer he stays the more likely it is that Saban is going to get fed up with it and decide it's not worth it. He doesn't want to appear to be connected in any way to a forced resignation (and you can't blame him for that).

If this drags on for another 24 to 48 hours or so I would think Bama is safe.

Definitely, the worst part about losing Saban is you know whoever comes next will in all likelihood be a downgrade (even if we pulled a Harbaugh/Gruden/Smart/Parcells)
