Probably just some random Joe, but this would be a more suitable location compared to Lakeway which was previously discussed

Wouldn't change over until next year... And if they just put a contract in on it, they likely won't close until after Jan 1 anyway.

People don't realize how cheap LA property taxes can be.

That change will not be reflected immediately. It has to roll through a billing cycle before its updated.

Yes, but they also don't realize that you get what the frick you pay for. Or also the fact that there's no state income tax, but you still get to deduct sales tax in its place.

Texas > Louisiana

actually that seems pretty low for Texas. 2% property tax is on the low end of what you'll find in Texas, and that comes out to $72,000.

To me the perfect storm would be Saban to Texas for 10 mil. Epic meltdown in Gumpland. The rest of the country begins to discuss the "decline" of Alabama....Bama begins to suck. In a surprise turn, Texas, even with Saban, never gets off the ground, and the Texas program gets even worse. Epic meltdown in Texas.

Actually, I think this is fairly likely. Saban is starting on the downhill side of his career. He may not flame out spectacularly, but I don't think he'll have the success at UT that they'll expect of a $10 million man. With the kind of money they're paying him, expectations will be high, and patience will be short.

I'd say a 10% chance of a MNC within 5 years. 40% chance of improvement over Brown, but not what they're expecting of him. 30% that he bumps along like Mack did, and 20% chance of implosion.

Chump change for Saban with his new ownership of producing oil wells.
