I don't see the point in melting down about Al Golden, but I don't see the point in shoving Miles out the door either, and that hasn't stopped anyone on this board, so go right ahead Vol fans...

I would rather have Al Bundy than Al Golden.

Al Bundy once scored 4 TD's in one game though.

I will ask again

Is he a national recruiter type? Can he go to Cali and get someone for UT?

cause that is UT's model for success. National recruiting. If it's not there, they won' succeed

and not flaming. But a guy at Temple and Miami does not seem like a national recruiter type

wrong often so could be again but if I was a UT guy I'd be disappointed

Miami should "offer" Saban $45 million for the hell of it, just to make Bama match.

Isn't that how CFB works now?

If Al Developed good ties with South Florida kids then I can see him being successful.

But Al's first goal needs to be locking down the state of Tennessee.

Targeting national kids over local kids is what burned Fulmer.

Tenn turns out enough local kids to have a flag football team. There in lies the problem and the reason national recruiting is a must.

Ditto.

He is a good coach and recruiter.

If Miles left LSU I'd want Golden to be on our short list.

How about Kent St and Michigan State?

You're wrong.

Golden can recruit with the big boys nationally with the money at his disposal at UT. He made Temple relevant and good. He has NOTHING at Miami and is doing a good job.

It would be a damn good hire.

edit: It's somehow comforting to see that Tennessee fans are every bit as stupid as LSU fans.

Local kids to Knoxville are kids located within a four circle of the city. this includes NC/SC/AL/GA/VA. He he targets THESE local kids he would do fine.

If Al Golden can do this and pick a few up from his ties in South Florida then watch out

Again what burned Fulmer was going all over the country for players.

I bet words like those from LSU fans sound like the kiss of death. Especially after we told them how great a hire Dooley was going to be...
