For anyone who thinks this isn’t a possibility, go check how things went down between him and Tubby a season after he left the OC job at Auburn for Louisville. Tubby gave him his big break that helped him land his first P5 head coaching gig, but loyalty isn’t really a hangup for ole Bobby P.

Looks like Jimbo has a fall guy or aTm has hired their coach in waiting. Don't forget Petrino's track record of being a snake. From his Louisville, Falcons, backdoor interview at Auburn and dare I say Arkansas debacle and he just jobbed UNLV after saying yes. No integrity...Jimbo better watch his back or Dirty Bobby will

Great OC, terrible fit personality wise to go with Jimbo. I don't see this working out well for fAggies. Don't be surprised if someone gets punched at some point either.

Dude, what he is saying and what he meant to say are two different things. Pronouns refer to the last used proper noun.

Right... he turned down A&M so he could go to UNLV and make less than half of what will pay him.
According to Liucci A&M interviewed him but only offered after getting turned down by Riley and Riyan Grubb turned us down.
If Jimbo conducted an actual search I do find it hard to believe that he was really the #3 choice behind those other two and that Liucci may be playing a bit of a shell game where we technically only offered contracts to 3 guys but likely tried to get several other OCs in who didn't like the situation enough to ever get close to contract talk.
Of course there is always the chance that the Riley and Grubb offers were really just Jimmy Sexton getting some more of his clients raises and that Petrino is just there to take the heat off Jimbo long enough that he can tale back over the moment Petrino's offense gets bogged down.
