Never heard of LSUWire until this installment of the CCB but I've read enough - LSU does not care what Napier does at Florida. No matter if he wins the next 10 championships or goes 0 for everything, he wasn't even on the radar - nor should he have been.

I don't know why you guys are pushing so hard against this. This is obviously true. If LSU's coach ends up being meh and Napier ends up being a Spurrier, we're never going to hear the end of it because we definitely could have gotten Napier if we wanted him.

Either LSU's hire is successful, in which case it doesn't matter whether Florida's is, or LSU's hire is unsuccessful, in which case it doesn't matter whether Florida's is.
If our guy doesn't turn out to be any good, it won't just be Billy Napier we'll be complaining about not hiring. There will be a whole list of other coaches that we might have gone after who are better.

How is it true? Suppose the hire is a big name. Suppose Riley had taken the job. Would you jacknuts still be saying the hire would be based on how Napier does at Florida? No, because there isn’t a single person who would have hired Napier over Riley.
