Maybe O is just doing a solid for someone by throwing him an interview.
We don’t have time for that

At this point just hire anyone who's black. Now let the shitshow continue!

Why not?
There is plenty of time. We have zero defensive players left on our board for signing day and we’re a good ways off from spring ball.
There’s nothing wrong with interviewing a lot of guys. Maybe he impresses the staff. Maybe you learn something that can aid in a future interview.
This board has been adamant that we’re running out of time when that is just absolutely not the case. They need to interview and vet as many guys as they’re interested in.

This is false he has been a DC at the division 2 level.

Heard O or Scott wasnt impressed with his interview

But he’s perfectly impressive to Kirby. Lord have mercy
Posted on 1/23/21 at 9:08 pm to redfish99
Lets just make sure when we fire him after one year we keep his buy-out under 5 million!

Marcus Freeman is white?
Doesn't count because he's married to a white woman.

Is he the sole dc for Kirby. Does he call plays. If he doesn’t then it doesn’t compare. He is a good lber coach and recruiter. But maybe he didn’t do good at explaining his philosophy. All speculation as I don’t even know if it is true. But to compare it to him working for Kirby is apples to oranges.

When you read the word “regressed” that’s on coaching.
Okay so if that’s your logic then does that mean Corey Raymond is a bad coach after this past year most of our dbs regressed?
Posted on 1/23/21 at 9:33 pm to Iam_PrinceAkeem
What the frick? Raymond is arguably one of the best defensive back coaches in college ball. So what skill set does this guy bring to the defense? Who will coach linebackers safety dline? This better be a joke.

This guy was recommended by Arranda. You know, kind of like how our new OC was recommended by Brady. Chill.
There is a lot more to like about Peetz’s resume than Jones’. He was on a path to an NFL OC job and would have already had one if things had landed just right in Indy.

They’ll hire someone....
What position a guy coaches is in no way shape or form telling of if he can be a DC or not.
I don’t like him as DC and I’m hoping he’s a smoke screen or just a interview to see what he’s got but him being a secondary coach has absolutely nothing to do with that opinion
Posted on 1/23/21 at 9:41 pm to southendzoneresident
We still have two more hires. No matter what we will hire a safeties coach. If this guy were hired we would hire a dedicated lber coach and a dedicated dl coach.
45-55 percent of the players on the field for a majority of the game are dbs. Makes sense to double that position. I also like having the dc have a partner as a position coach to free him up o control the defense.

Was a DC at the D2 level with Bowie State. His defenses finished in the top 3 nationally 3 times in 5 years at that level
