How long have you guys been LSU fans? Archer, Curly, Dinardo....Got lucky with Nick....Kept Les too long.
If you think LSU will go out and spend 5 mill a year for a coach you are out of your mind.
I know Miles worked up to that but they know they overpaid him bad... 4 mill a year to be 5th in the SEC and a capitol One and Liberty bowl invite every year..

Who actually fits the 3.5 to 5 mill list???
Peterson-yes but he is not coming here.
Chip Kelly-yes...also not coming
Meyer-yes..not coming
Herman-No...
Jimbo---dicked us around last year so no, don't want him..

Orgeron wins out and takes them to a BCS bowl he will be your coach for at least three years...Get ready for that.

We just paid 9m to get rid of a coach and you think we're going to pinch pennies?

LSU is a big time program and will pay fair market value for the best coach we can get. If that's jimbo it will cost 6m at least.

We very well might screw up this hire, but it won't be because of money. Those days are gone.

1. Miles and staff were the highest paid IN THE COUNTRY.
2. Nike (Phil Knight) about to pay Kelly 10MM at Oregon
There is so much wrong with your post.

You may be right. I hope not, but it's possible. But even in that scenario, it will be because O did well and the fan base loves him. Not because we need to go cheap.

O as HC, Aranda as DC plus a top OC would be the best scenario at the best price.

Read my other posts on WHY this is false. He won't be the coach for the Sugar Bowl should we win out.

Look at WHO WE BEAT and ask if Miles would have likely beaten those over matched teams OR if a healthy IF or TAMU would win assuming we beat them. NAME ONE QUALITY WIN AGAINST A GOOD OFFENSE AND DEFENSE OF ALL OF THOSE GAMES.
The teams e have beaten have terrible scoring/ run defenses.

Les would have lost to Ole Miss..would have been trounced by Bama and lost to Ark
as usual..

Not with aranda running the defense. It would be been just as stout.

And none of those teams can stop the run, which plays right into miles hands.

Hell, I wish les would've been calling the offense against bama, he would be been more aggressive than that shite show offense we watched.

125 yards and 5 or first downs. Same old shite.

Don't care what the defense did early - which as good, but not close to how they are playing now. It was a matter of time before they got it together and we all knew that. My friends from Wiskey said that at the beginning of the year - be patient.
UF will be a good test, but we should outlast them or DE will get some of the pass plays to TE and FB to destroy their aggressiveness. Screens will kill them. As will delayed hand offs and draws if there is any balance with the pass game.
I did see some very good run plays by Cincy and NY tonight that would be killer in the run game like the Hill TD or that double fake draw play by NY.

Well TAMU has never had a good run defense when playing a team that would actually test it, but they're still ranked and so is Florida. So was Ole Miss when we playèd them. What happens to those teams after that doesn't really matter.
