As either some type of offensive assistant (QB coach/OC/PGC) or program liaison to help mend these tensions in the building right now.

He is the definition of culture guy, can mentor coach O, and is an ultimate relationship builder. Despite his record as a HC, he is a well respected offensive coach. He’d be cock diesel on the recruiting trail. Players absolutely love him,

I listened to a podcast this week, he is open to taking a Herd Edwards route through college to get back into coaching.

Coach Orgeron & Hue coached together at USC.

I see he served as Special Assistant to The Head Coach for the bengals in 2018. Maybe he can take Ree’s job

Ryan Clark would love if he was hired. Being black and all.

as an OC he's not terrible so he can actually coach on top of what you said. i don't think this is a bad idea at all

i imagine if he's given up on the NFL, he would be a DEVESTATING recruiter

if we can't terminate for cause via Title 9, O will be our coach for 2021 and likely 2022

He is a good offensive coach and is a personable guy. But he’s got a lot of stank on him, his Browns tenure was real bad. That’s likely as much Browns as it is Jackson to be fair.

It would be an incredibly difficult hire to sell. Replacing Linehan with someone who is pretty damn similar on paper would be hard.

his first issue was, ironically, his coordinator choices

2 former HCs who both knew they were better coaches than he was (esp Haley, who is a supreme a-hole)

i think all of his issues that led to failure as an NFL head coach wouldn't be negatives in college, especially in this role. he's a players' coach and is respected/liked by players

Hue Jackson wouldn't be bad in a Mickey Joseph role.

He would be a great recruiter

he's a lot more accomplished than MJ is as a technical coach and strategist. he was a legit good NFL OC

Why does everyone want old arse coaches. I’m not saying hire some GA but damn there are some nice young creative minds out there. Screw all these has been!

i'm not saying hire every 55 year-old coach

Hue Jackson has been around the block and was a successful NFL OC. at worst he'd be a good mentor behind a young wunderkid

think of Hue like the apex version of E (can breakdown and scheme during the week well, can recruit at an elite level, can give mentorship, etc). that worked out for us in 2019

He does fit the profile.

Don't think I've posted in any of those Ryan Clark threads. Weird flex.
