He was an awful dc from the start last year but, as everyone says, his work recruiting was phenomenal. When the demotion was announced, Cuse fans celebrated. I’m sure he’ll be great in the right role.

Nope
Syracuse was a doormat

Everyone's already said he would be a DL coach not DC. But I wanted to point something out about this:
That game was already 21-0 before his defense even took the field for their first play

FWIW shea dixon said he has a source close to cuse and they said he accepted the LSU job. I guess we shall see tomorrow

LSU has to have a DC in place because big names DCs are not going to want to take the LSU job if you're throwing staff on their lap without their input.
This would be a good hire but the DC hire is obviously more critical especially after the dud OL hire Lane did which was also critical. At least Lane can scheme around a bad OL he has shown.

You people are idiots if you think LK doesn’t have a plan in place.I don’t think this is his first rodeo.yall need to get a grip.

I didn’t. And in today’s NIL world, Robinson’s attributes as a recruiter are diminished. If he doesn’t coach his group up, that’s magnified.

That would be a very good hire. In Lane we trust.

I don't remember anyway saying he wasn't a good coach.
Which players never got better under him?

Pick any of those highly recruited DLs at A&M under Jimbo. They never improved once they got on campus. If we were talking pre-NIL, he’s a great hire. But there’s a reason he was demoted at ‘Cuse.

I remember hearing some recruits wanted to follow him to Syracuse when he took that job. They love him

Solid hire for DL coach if we land him.
Posted on 12/5/25 at 8:14 am to PIGSKIN
Remember the players all wanted him as head coach.

Jimbo had locker room/culture issues, it was a problem for a&m in general.
Highly rated kids floundering there was kind of the norm

Not arguing that at all. I think that was a product of just recruiting on rankings and not paying attention to fit, attitude, and culture. And that doesn’t impact personal development.
The lack of development for guys who are highly recruited and want to get to the NFL and drafted high should be concerning.

Didn't they just give up 70 to ND?
